How to Connect Your Email to bizvoid

Last updated: October 2026

What this does

On Starter and up, you can connect your own mailbox, Gmail, Google Workspace, Zoho, Yahoo, iCloud, or a business email from a web host, so pitches send straight from bizvoid out of your own inbox instead of a shared sending address. Send one at a time or in bulk, with a safe daily limit and spacing between sends, plus an optional follow-up if there is no reply.

Once connected, bizvoid watches for replies automatically. When a prospect writes back, the pitch is marked Replied, any scheduled follow-up for it is cancelled, and the reply shows up in the Replies tab under Pitches with a count on the side menu so you never miss one.

Before you start

You will need an app password rather than your regular login password. An app password is a separate code your email provider generates just for a third-party app like bizvoid. It keeps your main password out of bizvoid entirely, and you can revoke it at any time without changing anything else about your account.

Gmail and Google Workspace

  1. Turn on 2-Step Verification at myaccount.google.com/security. An app password cannot be created until this is on.
Illustration. 2-Step Verification has to say On before app passwords appear.
  2. Go to myaccount.google.com/apppasswords, name it “bizvoid” and click Create.

  3. Copy the 16-character password. It is shown once, so paste it into bizvoid before closing the page.

Settings: SMTP smtp.gmail.com, port 465, SSL. IMAP imap.gmail.com, port 993, SSL. Username is your full email address.

On Google Workspace, an admin may need to allow app passwords for your account before this works. If the app password page is not available, ask your Workspace admin to turn it on.

Zoho Mail

  1. Go to accounts.zoho.com, then Security → App Passwords → Generate.

  2. In Zoho Mail settings, under Mail Accounts, make sure IMAP access is enabled.
Illustration. IMAP access must be on so bizvoid can spot replies.

Settings: SMTP smtp.zoho.com, port 465. IMAP imap.zoho.com, port 993. Some regions use a different domain, such as .eu or .in, so use your own region’s domain if smtp.zoho.com or imap.zoho.com does not work.

Yahoo Mail

Under Account security, generate an app password. Your regular Yahoo password will not work for this.

Settings: SMTP smtp.mail.yahoo.com, port 465. IMAP imap.mail.yahoo.com, port 993.

iCloud Mail

Go to account.apple.com, then Sign-In and Security → App-Specific Passwords to generate one.

Settings: SMTP smtp.mail.me.com, port 587 with STARTTLS. IMAP imap.mail.me.com, port 993. Username is your iCloud email address.

Email from a web host

If your business email comes from a web host, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or a cPanel host, you can usually connect it with your normal mailbox password, no app password needed. Look for the SMTP and IMAP settings on your host’s email setup page, they are usually listed together with the server name, port, and whether SSL or STARTTLS is used.

Outlook and Microsoft 365

Outlook and Microsoft 365 are not supported yet. Microsoft no longer allows app-password connections for apps like bizvoid on these accounts, so there is no SMTP and IMAP setup that works here the way it does for Gmail, Zoho, Yahoo, or iCloud. Sign in with Microsoft is coming, so you will be able to connect an Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailbox without an app password once that ships.

Connecting in bizvoid

Go to Settings → Integrations and find Connect your mailbox. Pick your provider, paste in your app password (or your regular password for a web host mailbox), and save. You can also start from the Pitches page, where selecting saved pitches and clicking Send by email prompts you to connect a mailbox first if you have not already.

bizvoid, Settings → Integrations. Pick your provider and the server settings fill in for you.
bizvoid, Reports → Pitches. Tick the pitches, then Send by email.
bizvoid, Reports → Pitches → Replies. New replies show a count here and on the side menu.

This is a Starter plan and up feature. On an agency plan, an admin can connect one shared agency mailbox in agency settings, and it is the default for the whole team. Each teammate can also connect their own mailbox the same way and pick which one to send from. The daily limit belongs to each mailbox, so the team shares the agency mailbox’s limit, and every reply is matched back to the teammate who sent that pitch.

Good sending habits

Privacy and access

Your app password is stored encrypted. bizvoid only reads your inbox to spot replies to emails it sent on your behalf, it never reads anything else, and it never deletes or changes anything in your mailbox.

If you don't connect a mailbox

You can still open each pitch as a draft in your own email app and send it yourself, one at a time. Connecting a mailbox just lets bizvoid do that sending, and the reply tracking, for you.

FAQ

Is my password safe?
Yes. Your app password is stored encrypted, and bizvoid never shows it back to you or anyone else once it is saved.

Will bizvoid read my email?
Only to spot replies to pitches it sent for you. It never reads anything else in your mailbox, and it never deletes or changes anything there.

Why an app password?
So you never hand bizvoid your real account password. An app password only grants mail access, and you can revoke it from your provider at any time without changing your main login.

What about Outlook?
Not supported yet, because Microsoft no longer allows app-password connections for apps like this. Sign in with Microsoft is coming.

What’s the daily limit?
You set your own cap when you connect, with a safe ceiling and spacing between sends so a new mailbox is never pushed too hard.

Do replies show in my inbox?
Yes, as normal. bizvoid only watches for them, it never moves, hides, or changes a reply.

What if I don’t connect?
You can still open any pitch as a draft in your own email app and send it yourself, one at a time.
